For the past several decades, Shelley Tanenbaum has been developing Intuitive Life Movement, a kindred form to Authentic Movement. In this interview, Paula explores with Shelley how her work emerged, elements of how she teaches her work, and the connection between movement and language.
Shelley Tanenbaum, Psy.D., is a licensed psychologist and senior Hakomi therapist with a private practice in Boulder, CO. She offers workshops and groups in Intuitive Life Movement. Her doctoral dissertation entitled Mindfulness in Movement: An Exploratory Study of Body-Based Intuitve Knowing, examines the experience of five women learning to move intuitively.
